Nov. 19—PEMBROKE — The chair of the Education Committee of the Lumbee Tribal Council called on her fellow council members Thursday to help fund a billboard displaying art by a high school tribal member.
The action was prompted after Yvonne Dial announced Keely Renee Oxendine as the winner of the tribe's Creative Art Contest sponsored by the tribe.
